Our School
Nestled on the edge of the beautiful village of Temple Guiting, in the heart of the Cotswolds, Temple Guiting Church of England School enjoys a wonderful rural setting. We are fortunate to have fantastic facilities and outdoor spaces that provide a welcoming, inspiring environment where our children can learn, play and thrive.
Our Learning Environment
Our school offers a warm, friendly and well-equipped learning environment across two buildings, combining the charm of our original school with modern facilities.
The original school building is home to two classrooms, our school library and a kitchen where delicious, healthy school meals are freshly prepared each day.
In March 2024, we were delighted to open our new school building, providing two additional classrooms, a staff room, reception area and Headteacher's office. This exciting development has allowed our school to grow whilst maintaining the small, nurturing and family-friendly atmosphere that makes Temple Guiting so special.
Our Outdoor Spaces
We believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom, and we are incredibly lucky to have a variety of outdoor spaces for our children to enjoy.
Our school grounds include two connected playgrounds, a dedicated outdoor learning area for our youngest children, a peaceful spiritual garden, a Forest School area and an environmental pond.
These spaces provide wonderful opportunities for outdoor learning, exploration, creativity and play, helping children develop their confidence, curiosity and appreciation of the natural world around them.
We are also fortunate to have access to an extensive playing field next to the school, providing plenty of space for PE lessons, sporting activities, outdoor games and our enrichment clubs.
Sport and Physical Education
Sport and physical activity are an important part of school life at Temple Guiting. Our spacious playing field and outdoor facilities allow children to enjoy a wide range of sports and activities throughout the year.
Our children also have the opportunity to represent the school in a variety of inter-school competitions, including floorball, rounders, football and athletics. These experiences are a fantastic way for children to develop their sporting skills, build confidence, work as part of a team and enjoy some friendly competition with other local schools.
We encourage all children to enjoy being active, celebrate their achievements and develop a positive attitude towards sport and physical wellbeing.
At the Heart of Our Village Community
Our school has strong links with the local community, and we are fortunate to be situated next to Temple Guiting Village Hall.
The Village Hall provides a fantastic additional space for school performances, theatrical productions, PE activities, celebrations and fundraising events. It is also where our children come together to enjoy their freshly prepared school lunches.
An adjoining car park is available for staff and parents, helping to support the day-to-day running of the school.
