At Temple Guiting Church of England School, our vision is simple: Everyone to Thrive.
Our vision is inspired by the words of Jesus in John 10:10:
“I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.”
These words sit at the heart of everything we do. We want every child to feel happy, safe, valued and supported, with the confidence to explore their interests, discover their talents and achieve their full potential.
For us, thriving is about much more than academic success. It means growing in confidence, building positive relationships, developing resilience, experiencing joy and wonder, and knowing that you belong.
As a Church of England school, we believe that everyone is uniquely created and valued by God. We want every member of our school community to feel respected, encouraged and inspired to become the very best version of themselves.
Rooted in Love
Love is at the heart of our Christian vision. Inspired by 1 Corinthians 13, we aim to show love through our everyday actions, demonstrating kindness, patience, compassion, forgiveness and perseverance.
Love is our overarching Christian value, supported by six further values that guide the way we live and learn together:

These values help us build a caring, inclusive community where everyone is welcomed, differences are celebrated and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Through our learning opportunities, friendships, sport, creativity, outdoor learning and community activities, we encourage every child to discover their strengths, embrace new experiences and flourish.
A Vision We Live Every Day
Our vision is much more than words on a wall. Everyone to Thrive shapes our approach to teaching, learning, relationships and the decisions we make as a school.
We encourage our children to be curious, try new things, learn from mistakes, persevere through challenges and celebrate their achievements. We want them to understand that it is okay to be different, that everyone has something valuable to offer and that we achieve so much more when we support one another.
Our vision extends beyond the children to include our staff, families, governors, volunteers and the wider village community. We all have a part to play in creating an environment where everyone feels they can flourish.
Living Life to the Full
John 10:10 reminds us that life in all its fullness is rooted in love, hope, relationships and purpose. We know that life will bring challenges, but we want our children to leave Temple Guiting with the confidence and resilience to face them, knowing they are valued and have a community behind them.
